Dr. William L. Wagner has made a generous gift to Olivet University's library from his personal collection of theological books. The donation adds nearly 2,000 titles to the University's current holdings, and will support the library in critical areas of the school's mission, especially in the areas of bible and theology.

"This gift fits the core needs of the University," stated Olivet University representative Walker Tzeng. "We are grateful to Dr. Wagner for this act of generosity."

Wagner's gift comes just as the University proceeds with a proposal to establish The William Wagner Missions Library, named in recognition of Wagner's service at Olivet and lifetime devotion to mission work.  This newest library at Olivet is hoped to become a premier collection of literature about the history of world missions and resources for use in various mission fields. A library and reading room for the William Wagner Missions Library is under development currently on the main campus of the University.

The announcement about Wagner's donation follows his retirement from his professorship at Golden Gate Theological Seminary this June to begin fulltime service at Olivet.
