Design Student Honored for Academic Achievement
Olivet College of Art and Design would like to congratulate Sunju Jin, winner of this year's Academic Achievement Award for Design.
Ms. Jin was presented the award before members of the administration, faculty and student communities convened for the Olivet University Spring Convocation 2008 on Friday, February 1.
She was praised by the faculty of the Olivet College of Art & Design "for consistently producing good work," as well as "being creative, compassionate, responsible, and generous with her time when it comes to helping her peers." The first year graduate student completed several design productions in the course of her studies that were featured alongside the work of professional University design staff during the fall semester.
"I'm very thankful to my teachers and friends," Jin reflected after the Awards presentation. "I learned so much from their honest feedback and constructive critiques. I'm also very surprised to have been selected from among my talented peers," she added.
Students were honored with awards in nine categories at the Spring Convocation, which included degree and major non-degree fields of study, and several service areas.
