SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.--Olivet College of Art & Design (OCAD) is pleased to announce plans for a student-produced design e-magazine.

The publication's purpose is to communicate design trends quickly and efficiently across vastly distanced places and cultures. To this end, the digital production will involve international collaboration from OCAD students and alumni in over 20 countries conducting researching, developing content, and coordinating design resources.

"We hope that the e-magazine will give students a better understanding of the history and context of design trends in their regions by connecting them with students and professionals in different countries," said Heejung Park, advisor for the e-magazine and OCAD assistant director.

Though the publication will focus first on providing information related to graphic design, additional fields, including 3D imaging, illustration, and motion graphics are slated to be included.

A task force has been assembled to advance the project from planning to publication. Initial website design and content-making are already underway.
