Admission FAQ
How much homework is expected?
Workload and homework load is typically 3 hrs per day for full time students; however it will vary depending on a student's time management and course load. This may also vary depending on the type of courses and what is required from the professor.
What academic support is provided?
OSAD provides study halls, computer labs, one-on-one tutors, classroom services, and ESL study groups. You can find more information in our OSAD Students section.
What is the average class size?
OSAD tries to limit its class sizes in order to provide a more interactive environment between instructor and students. On average, classes cap from 8-18 students. Larger lecture seminars may have more students.
When should students apply to the Olivet School of Art & Design?
Students can apply up to 2 years in advance. Students should apply and register at least 6 months before the start of each semester in order to be guaranteed courses and specific class times. Olivet School of Art & Design accepts applications and registers students for classes through the second week of school. For more information on Applications, please visit our Admissions section.
Can students get help with part time work while in school?
The School's Career Services Department offers internships and part-time job opportunities. For more information visit the Internship section or log into Career Services.
What about internships for students?
OSAD works with many ministries involved with students' program studies. Internship opportunities are posted on MY OLIVET and additional internship resources are available through the Career Services department.
